Pickleball Drills, Friday, January 14, 9:00 am – 10:00 am. Join Andy Wilson and Anna Walters as they put the “fun” in pickleball fundamentals. A 1-hour class consisting of a combination of drills followed by games using that skill. Join us to have a blast as you improve your skills! Limited to 6 participants. Sign-up by December 15. Cost is $6.

Basket Class, Wednesday, January 19, 10:00 am – 1:00 pm. Cost is $18, paid to instructor Candy Alexander. Participants will make a wine tote with a wooden swing handle. These continuous-weave baskets are woven over a 2-liter bottle. This project is guaranteed to not drive you to drink! Supplies needed: ruler, clothespins, scissors, a pencil, and an empty 2-liter bottle.

Valentine’s Trees, Tuesday, February 8, 10:00 am. Join us and make a Valentine’s tree for your sweetheart. Participants will pick a large tree or 2 small trees with Valentine’s themes for decorations. Extra kits will be available for purchase. Cost is $15 and all supplies are provided. Sign-up by February 4.

Cooking with Theresa, Thursday, February 10, 11:30 am. Participants will make Valentine’s Candy. Sign-up by February 8.

Oil Painting, Fridays, February 11 – March 11, 9:30 – 11:30 am. Participants will get a basic understanding of oil paint. Class will consist of two projects – one being a visionary landscape project and the other being a self-portrait project. You will learn about the priorities of oil paint and how it can be used on canvas. Participants will also explore different styles and looks of paintings that can all be done through oil painting. Sign-up by February 8.

Beginning Pickleball, Tuesdays & Thursdays, February 15-March 3, 9:30 – 10:30 am. Limited to 10 participants. 3 weeks, 6 classes. This is for participants who have never played pickleball. Cost is $30 – paid at sign-up. Instructor: Anna Walters. Sign-up by February 11.

Beginner Stained Glass, Tuesdays, February 15-March 1, 11:00 am – 1:00 pm. Join us as Lynn Davenport shares how to make a suncatcher. Please bring the glass you want to make a project with. Sign-up by February 11.

Bluebirds, Thursday, February 24, 10:00 am. Join Birding Kingsport to learn more about bluebirds and how to attract them to your yard. Bluebird conservation efforts will also be discussed. After the presentation, join Esther Richards and decorate a birdhouse (provided). Participants bring glue, a glue gun, and embellishments for the birdhouse. Cost is $5. Sign-up by February 21.

Advanced Crochet, Fridays, February 25 – April 1, 9:30 – 10:30 am. Cost is $20, paid to instructor. Participants will work on project of choice. Class is limited to 4 participants.

Beginner Crochet, Fridays, February 25 – April 1, 11:00 am – 12:00 pm. Participants will use basic stitches and learn how to make a scarf. Bring a size 5 mm (US size H-8) Susan Bates hook. Cost is $20 paid to instructor. Class is limited to 4 participants.

Intermediate Crochet, Fridays, February 25 – April 1, 12:30 – 1:30 pm. Cost is $20 paid to instructor. Participants will make a sampler afghan that uses squares of different designs. Required supplies: size H hook and four 7-ounce skeins of #4 worsted weight yard (bring a main color (3) and (1) contrasting color). Class is limited to 4 participants.

Card Making Class, Monday, February 28, 11:00 am – 1:00 pm. We will use stencils, ink, and paste to make 4 greeting cards. Cost is $10 and all supplies are included. Please bring scissors and your favorite adhesives. Sign-up by February 25.

Silver Sneakers Classic, 10:00 am. Mondays and Wednesdays in the cafeteria. Have fun and move to the music through a variety of exercises designed to increase muscular strength, range of movement and activities for daily living. Hand-held weights, elastic tubing with handles, and a Silver Sneakers ball are offered for resistance. A chair is available, if needed, for seated or standing support.

Silver Sneakers Classic, 9:00 am – 10:00 am. Tuesdays and Thursdays in the cafeteria.

Core Conditioning, 9:00 am. Mondays and Wednesdays in the cafeteria. This is a non-aerobic, muscle-toning class, focused on core strength. Most sculpting classes use weight bars, exercise bands, dumbbells, or a combination of these gadgets. You perform traditional weight-training movements in a class setting.

POUNDFIT, Tuesdays, 11:00 am. POUND is a cardio jam-session designed to release the rockstar within us while promoting total-body fitness. Instead of listening to the music, you become the music in this full-body workout that combines cardio, conditioning, and strength training with yoga and pilates-inspired movement. No sign-up required!

Zumba Gold, Tuesdays: 11:45 – 12:45 & Thursdays: 11:15-12:15, starting January 4, 11:30 am – 12:30 pm. Gym at the Main Site. Corn Hole boards are available in the senior center office at Lynn View to play Monday – Friday from 9:00 am – 2:00pm. Corn hole is an American lawn game in which players take turns throwing bags of corn at a raised platform with a hole in the far end. A bag in the hole scores 3 points, while one on the platform scores 1 point. No sign up required, just come in and ask for the boards.

Pickleball is traditionally played on a badminton-sized court with special Pickleball paddles, made of wood or high-tech aerospace materials. The ball used is similar to a whiffle ball but slightly smaller. The lower net and whiffle ball allow the game to be accessible to people of all ages and abilities, while still allowing more competitive players to test their mettle. This is Open Pickleball for all skill levels.

is on Tuesdays and Thursdays in the gym from 9:00 am – 10:00 am. Silver Sneakers Yoga will move your whole body through a complete series of seated and standing yoga poses. Chair support is offered to safely perform a variety of seated and standing postures designed to increase flexibility, balance, and range of movement. Restorative breathing exercises and final relaxation will promote stress reduction and mental clarity.

Monday, Wednesday, and Friday in Room 239 at 9:30 am. Total Body Workout consists of upper and lower body exercises that trim, tone, and define muscle while giving you a good cardio workout.

Tuesdays and Thursdays from 11:00 am – 11:30 am. Mat yoga – includes breath, abdominal, and arm strength building.

Tuesday and Thursday from 11:30 am – 12:30 pm. Includes standing poses and gentle movements for strength and flexibility. Each class ends with relaxation.
