Would you like to get setup up to use free library eBooks, audiobooks, & online magazines? Have some computer, tablet, or smartphone questions? Want to practice using the internet or typing a document? Learn all you wanted to be able to do with your device, but never knew how. If you have any accounts, such as Apple or Google, please have passwords ready. Sorry, no device hardware or software troubleshooting. Schedule your one on one time with a Kingsport Public Library Librarian by calling the Kingsport Senior Center Front Office (423) 392-8400.

Caregiver Program

Caregiver Support Group

4th Monday of Every Month, starting August 22, 10:00 am – 12:00 pm | Card Room

Are you or someone you know the caregiver for a loved one? Join our caregiver support group, hosted by Kelvin Kuylee, MSW, Suncrest Hospice. Kelvin will introduce and discuss different topics each month to promote self-care practices to prevent burnout and cope with emotional stress while facilitating the development of a positive and supportive community of people encouraging one another and sharing experiences about what it means to care for loved ones with illness. Light refreshments will be provided.

Ballroom dancing is a partnership dance where couples, using step patterns, move rhythmically, expressing the characteristics of music. Taught by Emily and Rad Myers. We will need 10 people for class to go. Max number of people 35.

Fusion Dance Class

Wednesdays, August 24 – November 9, 4:00 – 5:00 pm | Room 302

Join us for a jazz fusion dance class. This fusion dance class incorporates ragtime moves, the Charleston, lindy hop and hip-hop as well as Latin style dancing the mambo and salsa. Think of it like Broadway and the Rockettes meet Zumba! All levels are welcome. Class taught by Monica Case Harmon.

Credit & Money Management Workshop

Thursday, September 15, 11:00 am – 2:00 pm | Computer Lab

Sarah Williams with Operation Hope, a nonprofit organization, will be at KSC to hold a Credit & Money Management Workshop. In this workshop you’ll learn the basics of making a budget, how to read a credit report and what can be done to correct errors that affect your credit rating. This is a 2 hour free workshop and lunch will be provided to participants.
