Bevin Orzechowski, MBA-Liaison, Ronda Freeman, RRT Senior Liaison, and Pamela Ditto, MBA, RRT, Business Director with Encompass Health Rehab., Hospital. Do you know someone that has suffered from a stroke? Are you a caregiver for a friend, family member that has suffered from a stroke? This will be a monthly group meeting in which stroke survivors will come together to share their experience, support others, and provide resource guidance.

Join Gabe Manis, M.Div., Hospice Chaplain, for a helpful program on how to deal with emotions, tips on surviving social events, and how to find hope for the future.

Andrea Haubner, Extension Agent with Virginia Cooperative Extension. One key feature of the National DPP is the CDC-recognized lifestyle change program, a research-based program focusing on healthy eating and physical activity which showed that people with pre-diabetes who take part in a structured lifestyle change program can cut their risk of developing type 2 diabetes by 58% (71% for people over 60 years old).

Tuesdays, 11:45 am – 12:45 pm (Gym – Dannie Lee) & Thursdays, 9:45 am (Atrium -Teresa Wells). An easy-to-follow program that lets you move to the beat at your own speed. The Zumba Gold Live It Up System is the total body wellness experience.

Monday, April 1 | Woodshop

Every 1st Monday of the Month. If you are interested in working in the Woodshop, you must complete the Safety Orientation.

Fridays | Room 302 | Kristie Nies, PhD. Neuropsychologist & Registered Yoga Teacher 

Neuro Yoga is chair-based yoga for brain health, which will build resilience, improve mood, reduce pain, and reduce stress. Cost is free to our members, no yoga experience is required.

Tuesdays and Thursdays, March 5 – April 25 | 1:00 – 2:00 pm | Room 302

Lydia Hoskins, Extension Agent UT-TSU Extension | The Arthritis Foundation Exercise Program is a low-impact physical activity program proven to reduce pain and decrease stiffness. The routines include entle range-ofmotion exercises that are suitable for every fitness level. Sign-ups start on Wed, February 14 in the Office or by calling 423-392-8400, there is a limit of 25 seats available.

Friday, March 15 | 9:30 am | Laurel Run & Kiner Hollow

Cost is $5 for transportation. Laurel Run Trail & Kiner Hollow Trail is a moderately hiking trail located near Church Hill, Tennessee that features a waterfall. The trails vary from mild to moderate, the trail features rocky, rooted terrain that can make footing difficult. Be sure to wear your hiking boots and bring your walking stick and dress according to the weather. Everyone bring something to eat and drink to stay properly hydrated, we will be eating in the park.

Wednesday, April 24 | 9:30 am | Billiards Room

This will be an 8-ball tournament singles play best of three games with double elimination. Cost is free. Prizes will be awarded to 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place only, sponsored by Kim Howell, Marketing Liaison with Visiting Angels. NOTE: We will play on all four tables in billiards room.
