Volunteer S.M.I.L.E Meeting

S.M.I.L.E Meeting will be held on Wednesday, April 16th at 1pm in the cafeteria. If you are interested in becoming a Volunteer here at the center, make plans to attend our monthly meetings where we go over our Volunteer Opportunities. The Library Geek

The Library Geek will be here the second and fourth Wednesday of the month in the Computer Lab, from 10:30am – 12:00pm. Would you like to get setup to use free library eBooks, audiobooks, and online magazines? Have a computer, tablet, or smart phone questions? Learn all you wanted to be able to do with your device, but never knew how? If you have any accounts, such as Apple or Google, please have passwords ready. Sorry, no device hardware or software troubleshooting. ONLY 3 APPOINTMENTS AVAILABLE EACH DAY, SO SCHEDULE YOUR ONE ON ONE TIME WITH A KINGSPORT PUBLIC LIBRARY LIBRARIAN TODAY. Tax Program

AARP Tax Aide

AARP Tax Aides Volunteers will be at the Center again this year to do taxes. We do not have exact days set yet that they will be doing them but they do plan for signups to start in late January for appointments to start in February. Once appointments are made we will have the intake forms in the front office for you to come by and pick up and have filled out when you come for your appointment. All necessary documents need to be brought the day of your appointment. Keep watch on our website and in our newsletter for dates to be announced for sign ups.

Transportation: KATS

The Kingsport Area Transportation System (KATS) will pick up members of the Senior Center Monday through Friday within the city limits of Kingsport. For more information, contact KATS at 423-224-2613 (KATS)
