Basic Drawing & Beyond
Wednesdays, November 8 – December 13, 11:00 am – 1:00 pm | Room 303
Drawing is an essential tool any artist needs as a foundation. Students will learn to use charcoal, pencil and ink. Taught by Michael Farrar. Cost is $20 and you will need to pick up supply list at sign up. Limit of 12 people.
Beginner Oil Painting
Wednesdays, November 8 – December 13, 1:00 pm – 3:00 pm | Room 303
Oil painting is a type of painting produced using oil-based paints. Oil painting involves using pigments that use a medium of drying oil as the binder and painting with them on a canvas. Cost is $20 and you will need to pick up a supply list at sign up. Limit of 12 people.
Acrylic Painting
Thursdays, November 9 – December 14, 1:00 – 3:00 pm | Room 303
This beginner class provides the basics of using acrylic paints and the techniques needed to create finished artwork. Different acrylic mediums and styles will be introduced as well. Students will have the opportunity to paint various subjects that will incorporate the techniques learned. Taught by Michael Farrar. Cost is $20 and you will need to pick up a supply list at sign up. Limit of 12 people.

Elvis’ Birthday Celebration!

Clay 101 w/ Susan Vorhees
Tuesdays, January 9 – March 19 | 10:00 am – 4:00 pm | Clay Room | $30 + $20 firing fee
Bring your own supplies. This class is a combination of hand building and wheel throwing. For beginners to intermediate. Clay can be purchased at the Senior Center.
Beginner Guitar Lessons II (Acoustic)
Tuesdays, January 9 – February 13 | 10:15 am – 11:00 am | $40 for 6 week class
This class is for those who took the beginner class. Must have an acoustic guitar. Max of 5 students.
Hand Building w/ Clay
Wednesdays, January 10 – March 20, 11:00 am – 4:00 pm | Clay Room
Cost: $30 plus $20 firing fee. Bring your own supplies. Hand-building with pottery is another way of working with clay. The basic techniques are easy to learn, and the range of forms you can produce are endless. You will have the opportunity to make functional or more sculptural pieces. Each class will have demos of different forms, handles, and clay impression decoration. Basic clay form building methods with slabs, coils, and pinch pots will be discussed in detail. If you’re looking for a class to express your own creativity and gain pottery experience, this may be the class for you. Instructor: Jess Parks

Come and celebrate Dolly Parton’s Birthday with us! We will have a Dolly look-alike contest and prizes will be awarded for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place. Dolly inspired foods will be served! We will also have a Dolly Parton impersonator for entertainment! Cost is $5.00.

Barbie is officially a Senior Citizen! Come celebrate Barbie turning 65 with us! We will have a dress like Barbie contest so dress as your favorite Barbie character! We also encourage members to bring in their old Barbie’s and Barbie accessories! Cost is $5.00 and sign up begins November 6th.
