Bevin Orzechowski, MBA-Liaison, Ronda Freeman, RRT Senior Liaison, and Pamela Ditto, MBA, RRT, Business Director with Encompass Health Rehab., Hospital. Do you know someone that has suffered from a stroke? Are you a caregiver for a friend, family member that has suffered from a stroke? This will be a monthly group meeting in which stroke survivors will come together to share their experience, support others, and provide resource guidance.

Join Gabe Manis, M.Div., Hospice Chaplain, for a helpful program on how to deal with emotions, tips on surviving social events, and how to find hope for the future.

Vickie Burleson, BSW, Suncrest Hospice / LHC. Participants will express the challenges in care giving to include the physical, mental and psychological strain in caring for a patient, or a family member. Why Sail: Proven to help improve strength and balance, Aerobic, balance, & strength exercises with optional wrist and ankle weights, Adaptable exercises for all physical ability levels and can be done seated or standing. Lydia Hoskins, MS, Extension Agent with UT/TSU Extension. Do you need help better managing your diabetes? Health Extension for Diabetes is for people who have been diagnosed with either type 1 or type 2 diabetes. The program provides participants with Diabetes Education, Self-Management Resources, and Ongoing Support to Better Manage Diabetes and Health Education through Weekly Health Coach Calls. Tuesdays, 11:45 am – 12:45 pm (Gym – Dannie Lee) & Thursdays, 9:45 am (Atrium -Teresa Wells). An easy-to-follow program that lets you move to the beat at your own speed. The Zumba Gold Live It Up System is the total body wellness experience.

Every 1st Monday of the Month. If you are interested in working in the Woodshop, you must complete the Safety Orientation.

Neuro Yoga is chair-based yoga for brain health, which will build resilience, improve mood, reduce pain, and reduce stress. Cost is free to our members, no yoga experience is required.

Friday, May 31 | 8:30 am | $8 for transportation | Linville Falls, NC

Linville Falls is a 1.7 mile loop trail located near Newland, NC that features a river and is rated as moderate. NOTE: Elevation Gain — 521 feet, Route type — Loop. Be sure to wear your hiking boots and bring your walking stick and dress according to the weather. Everyone bring a bag lunch with something to drink, we will be eating in the park after the hike. We will be stopping on the way back at DQ for Ice Cream.

This tournament will be doubles playing the best three games, with double elimination. Cost is Free. Prizes will be awarded to 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place only, sponsored by Miranda Stout, with Brookdale Rock Spring We will need at least 12 to sign up for tournament to be played.

We will hike the Chinquapin Trail rated as moderate | Cost is $5 for transportation. Be sure to wear your hiking boots and bring your walking stick. Everyone bring something to eat and drink to stay properly hydrated, we will be eating in the park. Sign-ups will start on Wed, Jun 12 in the Office.

Wednesday, August 21 | 9:00 am | Shuffleboard Courts

This tournament will be doubles playing the best three games with double elimination, using only one side of the score board. Cost is Free. Prizes will be awarded to 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place only, sponsored by Theresa Redmond, Assistant Director of Sales, with The Blake at Kingsport.
