Abstract Painting

Cost: $20 paid at sign up. Enjoy the fun of painting without limits! Even if you are a realist painter this class will open new avenues to enhance your style. Drawing skills are not necessary for the successful abstract artist. Instructor Michael Farrar will lead you through some fun exercises to explore the world of abstract painting.
Beginner Oil Painting
Wednesdays, March 11 – April 15 | 1:00 pm | Room 303
Cost: $20 paid at sign up. Learn how the basic shapes and lighting can create beautiful paintings. Oils give you more time to blend and do surface textures on your canvases than other media. We’ll start with the basics and move onto landscapes.
Acrylic Painting
Thursdays, March 12 – April 16 | 1:00 pm | Room 303
Cost: $20 paid at sign up. Acrylic paint is a fast-drying paint made of pigment suspended in acrylic polymer emulsion. Acrylic paints are water-soluble, but become water-resistant when dry.
Watercolor Painting
Thursdays, March 12 – April 16 | 3:00 pm | Room 303
Cost: $20 paid at sign up. Come learn the basic skills and the beauty of watercolor.
Easter Lunch

St Patrick’s Day Celebration

Kennedy Dribblers Performance

Come out and watch the talented dribblers from Kennedy Elementary School. These children range from Kindergarten to 5th grade and perform amazing ball handling skills. Think of it as the kid version of the Harlem Globetrotters! They put on a fantastic show! No sign up required. Just show up ready to be amazed!
Flower Arranging: Easter Themed

You will create a silk arrangement for your door to welcome guests for the Easter holiday. Please bring wire cutters and scissors with you. All other supplies will be available. Sign up begins February 19th.
Learn Sign Language (For Beginners)

Want to learn a new skill or have you ever been interested in learning sign language? Now is your chance! This is a 6-week beginner class taught by Pat Stillwell that teaches you all the basics of sign language. Cost is $30.00 paid at sign up. Must have 8 for class to go. 10-person max.

Clay 101 with Sue

Cost: $50.00 plus $25.00 firing fee if not already paid for the year. This class is for beginners to intermediate levels. You will have projects bi-weekly in hand building. Instruction in wheel throwing available. Supplies and tools not included. Limited to 12 people. Sign up begins March 4th. Note: Due to the popularity of this class you can only sign up one person at a time. Also, plan to arrive early as this class fills up quickly.
You and Your Sewing Machine

Have you ever wanted to learn how to use that sewing machine handed down to you? Or did you buy a sewing machine to start a new hobby but don’t know how to use it? This class is for you! Jennifer Rasnake will teach you how to use your own sewing machine to make beautiful pieces. There is no cost for this class, but you must bring your own sewing machine and thread. Sign up begins March 2nd. Limited to 15 people.
Hand-Building with Clay
